I must admit, I was once that individual who paired their leggings with Uggs and wore them to college lectures when it was fashionable. While I acknowledge that Lululemon clothing can be costly, I have found that browsing the "We Made Too Much" section can lead to some great deals. Although spending $100 or more on leggings may seem excessive, I firmly believe that Lululemon is worth the investment.
Over the years, I have experimented with various brands, including Athleta and Fabletics, in search of workout clothes that I adore just as much. While I have found other leggings, tops, and bras that I like, none have lasted me over a decade while still looking and feeling as good as the day I purchased them.
I have worn Lululemon apparel on 12-hour treks through Patagonia and on runs through humid Brooklyn streets, and nearly everything I own has held up remarkably well. Knowing that I will own everything I purchase for years to come, I am more than willing to pay the extra cost. Several of my colleagues have also tested out Lululemon pieces, including sports bras, leggings, shorts, and tanks, in yoga classes, at home gyms, and more. Wunder Under High-Rise Tight
I initially harbored reservations about developing an affinity for Lululemon due to its associated costs. However, these leggings have undeniably won me over. Their remarkable softness and lightweight composition render them suitable for both leisurely slumber and rigorous physical activity. Furthermore, unlike numerous other pairs I have possessed, the high-rise waist steadfastly remains in place without any undesirable rolling down. Since the onset of the pandemic, I have scarcely removed them from my person, and upon their eventual wear and tear, I shall promptly hasten to procure additional pairs from the store. In terms of sizing, while I typically wear a size 0 in most garments, I opted for a size 4 in these leggings, resulting in a flawless fit.
Intent Joggers Shorter 27''
Lululemon has emerged as my top choice whenever I require new joggers or sweatpants. The fabric is exceptionally comfortable, but the true value for me lies in the versatility of these joggers. The shorter taper at the bottom of the joggers prevents any wear and tear or fraying that I typically encounter in my sweatpants, enabling me to work from home with ease, run errands, and even engage in workouts. I have extensively utilized these joggers, and they have yet to disappoint me, consistently enduring the most demanding days.
Fast and Free Tight II
It is quite uncommon for me to invest $130 in a pair of tights unless they possess exceptional qualities. However, I am so enamored with the Fast and Free Tights that I have actually acquired two pairs. In my opinion, they are unrivaled in terms of workout tights. Firstly, their high-waisted design ensures both comfort and compatibility with crop tops. The inclusion of a drawstring allows for waist adjustment, preventing any slippage during physical activities. Moreover, the fabric is luxuriously smooth to the touch, possesses sweat-wicking and quick-drying properties, and maintains its integrity even after numerous washes.
These leggings provide a sensation akin to a second skin, whether I am running, participating in CrossFit classes, or simply running errands. Importantly, they do not become transparent during squats. Above all, I appreciate the ideal level of light compression they offer, which not only contributes to the second-skin feel but also enhances the leggings' flattering appearance. Remarkably, they achieve this without exerting excessive pressure that may compromise organ comfort (I frequently wear them throughout the day or during long flights).
All Tied Up Tank
This workout top boasts exceptional versatility, as it can be worn in a loose and flowy manner or tied up using the slits in the back. Personally, I prefer to wear it tied back, as it allows me to adjust the height to match my leggings or shorts. The fabric is incredibly lightweight and breathable, despite being made of cotton, and I find it to be quite effective at wicking away sweat in hot weather. The high-neck design provides ample coverage, which is particularly beneficial when performing barbell cleans. The only drawback is that the knot in the back can be bothersome during floor exercises or while carrying a daypack while hiking. However, it is a simple matter to undo and re-tie.
On the Fly Woven ⅞ Pant Woven
These pants are ideal for travel purposes due to their remarkable features. They possess a loose fit design, complemented by a drawstring waist, ensuring utmost comfort even during extended periods of sitting without compromising on a snug fit. The fabric used is a unique poly-blend, which not only provides exceptional comfort but also eliminates the hassle of wrinkles. Additionally, these pants exude a slightly more sophisticated appearance compared to conventional leggings, making them suitable for business casual occasions. The pockets are thoughtfully positioned and sufficiently deep, making them highly convenient for individuals navigating through airports, as they offer easy access to store essential items such as phones or passports. While personally, I would prefer a slightly higher waistline, it is worth noting that the majority of individuals would find the just-below-the-belly-button rise to be satisfactory.
Invigorate High-Rise Tight
These pants are made with Lululemon's fastest drying fabric, providing a comfortable and cool experience. They are designed to wick away sweat, making them suitable for activities such as hot yoga classes, summer hikes, and even adventurous activities like ATVing through Tahiti, as shown above. Additionally, these leggings feature convenient side pockets, a characteristic I appreciate in my favorite styles. However, it is worth noting that these leggings may not provide the same level of compression as the Wunder Under or Fast and Free styles, which can be seen as either an advantage or disadvantage depending on personal preference.
City Sweat Pullover & Metal Vent Tech Hoodies
In normal circumstances, I engage in frequent travel. It is a well-known fact that airplanes tend to be quite chilly, and as such, I am unwilling to fly without a Lululemon hoodie or sweater. These items provide me with the necessary comfort, warmth, and a sense of fashionable appeal. The City Sweat Pullover Hoodie, located on the left, is particularly useful for lounging around the house during the winter months. I often utilize it as a pajama hoodie, and it pairs well with jogger pants. The City Sweat is a heavier option than many traditional hoodies, making it an excellent choice for added warmth.
Additionally, I am a strong proponent of the Metal Vent Tech Hoodie. As the name suggests, this hoodie is ideal for individuals who frequent hip, latte-infused, ping-pong bashing startups, where they may comfortably code for eight or more hours. The Metal Vent Tech Hoodie is not excessively warm or heavy, but rather serves as a lightweight alternative to a standard button-down shirt.
